[Pro Bono] Supplying the Supply Chain Shortage of Pro Bono Legal Service

- Pro Bono Services in Promoting Arts, Literature, Music and Entertainment

· IP,Copyright,Trademark,Entertainment Law,Update

The term Pro Bono is short for Pro Bono Publico, which means “for the public good” and is used for professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment.

The American Bar Association explains our role perfectly:

“Model Rule 6.1 states that lawyers should aspire to render--without fee--at least 50 hours of pro bono publico legal services per year, with an emphasis that these services be provided to people of limited means or nonprofit organizations that serve the poor. The rule recognizes that only lawyers have the special skills and knowledge needed to secure access to justice for low-income people, whose enormous unmet legal needs are well documented. Nearly every state has an ethical rule that calls upon lawyers torender pro bono services.”

As an attorney, I am grateful for having the skills and knowledge to serve and advocate for people with unmet legal needs.  In this holiday season and until December 31, 2021,  Sun & IP Law Office, PLLC  is offering five (5) hours of Pro Bono legal services to two (2) new clients for matters related to copyright, trademark and entertainment contracts. I am also offering low fee services for low-income artists with 20% net revenue of which being donated to the New York Public Library.
